Overview
Designed to bring you back to your flow through nature, this 5-hour guided tour will take you on a journey through the stunning waterfalls of Fragas de São Simão — 2 hours away from Lisbon city centre. We'll start with a hike through the woods, following the Alge stream to large natural pools and waterfalls. After a picnic in the woodlands, our guide will lead a meditative yoga session and end with wild swimming in the pools. Open to all experience levels, including beginners!

Jane McCarthy is a meditation and yoga instructor, with a background in water shiatsu and water therapy. She has been running retreats worldwide for 20 years. She decided to create a business focused on the healing element of water, bringing more balance and mindfulness into every retreat.

Serene Waterfalls & Towering Gorges
A hidden gem in the center of Portugal, the Fragas de São Simão features grand gorges and a beautiful river beach. The Casal de São Simão village sits on top of the hills, where you can enjoy the regional cuisine.

I've never done yoga before; is this for me?
We operate a totally inclusive and welcoming policy here at Bayou so all of our sessions are accessible for any level of student.
Which locations can you arrange for transportation?
We provide transportation to and from Lisbon (2 hours), Porto (1.5 hours) and Leira (1 hour).
Does lunch include vegan/vegetarian options?
Yes! If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know and we'll accommodate.
What happens if there's bad weather?
If there's bad weather, you can refund the total tour or exchange for a different date.
